As a successful applicant for this role, you will join our Adelaide office filling one of the Project Manager/Consultant roles within the team. This is a flexible role based in Adelaide (will consider part time or full time applicants) and incorporates interstate travel. Alternatively interstate based applicants may be considered.

You will be involved in managing business process improvement projects, change/organisational management reviews and system implementation projects working with many of Australia's Universities and Higher Education Institutions. The aim is to deliver positive and sustainable change in an evolving Education sector – one project at a time!

You will have 5-10 years experience ideally working within the Education sector, managing projects and working closely across project activities.

You will be essential in ensuring successful delivery of our clients' project requirements, on time and within budget. You must be willing to learn, have a great attitude and be an active member of our team. You will have an outcomes focused work-style and be able to work closely with other team members within the DVE Project Methodology.

As part of this role, you will be a participant in team training activities, attend our quarterly 'team days' for personal growth, and give input to the ongoing growth and development of the business. You will report directly to the CEO and to Project Managers on various projects.

Regular weekly activities including but not limited to:

  • Regular communication and close work with all stakeholders in relation to projects and project activities.
  • Regular project activities such as undertaking interviews, running workshops, writing reports, peer reviewing work, providing expert advice on recommendations.
  • Ensuring project activities are completed and milestones and deliverables are met
  • Effectively reporting to management on progress and issues with communication and drive to effective resolution
  • onitoring project scope and budgets ensuring ongoing costs are in line with proposals
  • Managing team members and contractors' work, ensuring agreed hours and costs are not exceeded.
  • Provision of status updates for client governance committees
  • Delegating tasks appropriately to project team members and contractors ensuring the right team members are utilised for appropriate activities
  • Utilsation of online Project Management tool to setup and track project for activity progression and effective reporting
  • Identification of opportunities for new business and close work with the BD team to engage client
  • Input to project proposals and tenders

 To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience managing multiple small – medium sized projects with conflicting deadlines
  • Excellent skills in stakeholder engagement, communication management and client communication across all organisational levels.
  • Experience in problem solving and provision of advice to assist others in influencing resolution of issues and successful outcomes
  • Experience based planning and scheduling skills for resource management
  • Ability to predict client needs and identify opportunities where we can further support them
  • Demonstrated experience of successful management of time, budget and scope
  • Development and provision of recommendations for improvements
  • Ability to work as part of a high performance team to achieve project deliverables on time and in budget
  • A positive approach to problem solving, embracing challenges as growth opportunities
  • Undergraduate qualification as a minimum

 The following experience will be highly regarded

  • Facilitating workshops, stakeholder presentations and forums
  • Provision of advice regarding process improvements and other recommendations
  • Creation of various business reports including organising, analysing and presenting data for a variety of purposes
  • Some BD experience, including opportunity spotting, consultative approach to solution finding, proposal writing
  • Experience within the Higher Education sector
